Brian Cook is an Emmy-nominated, TELLY GOLD-winning international journalist and filmmaker. He is the owner of Golden Sky Media Company, L.L.C., a multi-media company specializing in multi-media  production. The media veteran is the President of the Pittsburgh Black Media Federation (Pittsburgh chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists) which won National Professional Chapter of the Year honors in 2015 and 2017.

Cook is a freelance multi-media journalist with 90.5 WESA, WQEDNBCNews.com, USA TodayNew Pittsburgh Courier, Pittsburgh Tribune Review (TribLive), Behind the Steel CurtainMLB.com, Pittsburgh Business Times, The Soul Pitt, Huffington Post, Pittsburgh Post-GazetteBlue Sky News (Pittsburgh International Airport), Columbia Journalism ReviewTheIncline.com, Urban Media Today and PublicSource.com.

He is the former web content manager and national correspondent for Sheridan Broadcasting Networks and the American Urban Radio Networks. Brian’s responsibilities included reporting on breaking news, sports and entertainment stories of national and international interest in addition to shooting, editing and producing video for television and web.

He also is a voiceover talent for documentaries and radio features.

Cook has also reported from a number of national conventions and major events including: The Democratic and Republican National Conventions, the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Groundbreaking Ceremony and Super Bowls XL through XLVII (40-47). He is an occasional television sports analyst that covers the Pittsburgh Steelers — and the National Football League at large — since the 2005 NFL season.

Cook grew up watching long time CBS 60 Minutes Correspondent Ed Bradley, who became the catalyst for his broadcast career.

He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.

Most importantly, Cook is the father to Brian Cook Jr. who is the light of his life!
