Steelers’ OLB Chickillo Arrested

PITTSBURGH (GSM) — According to Pennsylvania State Police,  Steelers outside linebacker Anthony Chickillo was released on $10,000 bail after being charged with criminal mischief, simple assault and harassment.

An alleged physical altercation occurred with Chickillo and his long-time girlfriend at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort’s Lady Luck Casino. Reports say the altercation became physical after the couple entered their hotel room.

Chickillo was barred from entering the Steelers’ facility Monday pending an investigation on the matter.

Steelers spokesperson Burt Lauten said in a statement, “He has been instructed to not be in the building today as we continue to gather more information and work with the NFL Office.”

Mason Rudolph Cleared to Play Following Concussion

PITTSBURGH (GSM) – The Pittsburgh Steelers announced that quarterback Mason Rudolph has been cleared to play after a concussion he suffered during the matchup against the Baltimore Ravens on Oct 6..

The team’s spokesperson Burt Lauden said via Twitter that, ” Rudolph was cleared by an independent neurological consultant to fully return to action.”

The Miami Dolphins will visit Pittsburgh on Oct 28 on Monday Night Football.

VIDEO: Steelers’ Devin Bush on Who Inspires Him; Has Message for Kids

PITTSBURGH (GSM) — Devin Bush is a rookie but is playing like he’s been there for years. The middle linebacker, drafted in the 1st round of the 2019 NFL Draft from Michigan, is making a name for himself for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Early in his pro career to the present, he has always remained positive on his way to NFL stardom. Bush mentioned fellow teammates he’s looked up to, “Vince [Williams] is someone I’ve looked up to.” Bush said. “Ryan [Shazier] could easily be somewhere else doing completely something different. He’s invested in the team as a guy who loves football. He wants his team to excel as well as his teammates.”

This week, Bush was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week after his performance against the Los Angeles Chargers. He was responsible for two takeaways in the game. 1 interception and 1 fumble recovery for a touchdown.

Steelers’ DE Alualu on Injured Teammate Tuitt: It’s tough

PITTSBURGH (GSM) — The Pittsburgh Steelers lost defensive end Stephon Tuitt in the first half of the game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday Night. The pectoral tear will require surgery and will have him sidelined for the rest of the 2019 season.

The Steelers re-signed defensive end L.T. Walton to the active roster this week. Walton played for the team for the majority of his career since he was drafted in 2016 out of central Michigan. 

Defensive end Tyson Alualu will start in place of Tuitt and had nothing but praise for his comrade who was having an all-pro season.

REPORT: Steelers’ Tuitt Out For the Season

PITTSBURGH (GSM) — Steelers defensive end Stephon Tuitt will miss the remainder of the 2019 NFL season after tearing his pectoral muscle in Sunday Night’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers. 

Per an ESPN report, the all-pro will require surgery.
